Notre Dame TE Kyle Rudolph, who is expected to be a top-50 pick in the 2011 NFL draft if he declares, will miss the remainder of his junior season after undergoing hamstring surgery this week.
The Fighting Irish star had posted 28-328-3 in his team's first six games, despite dealing with the injury since fall camp, limiting his speed and range of motion. The injury became season-ending last Saturday vs. Pittsburgh, when the hamstring muscle in his right leg came off the bone. Rehab for the injury is expected to take six months.
