What started out as a rough week for New York Jets outside linebacker Calvin Pace due to severe pain and swelling in the foot he broke in the preseason has taken a turn for the better as Pace is listed as probable for Sunday's game at the Denver Broncos on the team's official injury report. He was still limited in practice along with Pro Bowl cornerback Darrelle Revis, who missed two games with a strained left hamstring and then aggravated it last week against Minnesota. Revis is questionable.
Pace felt fine after Friday's practice, according to ESPN New York's Jane McManus, and in the win over the Vikings this past Monday night he was on the field for all but six plays. But he thinks the turf at the New Meadowlands Stadium, which he said was harder than what the team practices on at their Florham Park, N.J. facility, might have caused his foot to feel a bit more sore than he anticipated after the game
Both players are making the flight on the team plane to Denver and Jets coach Rex Ryan said he won't make a decision on Revis until tomorrow at the earliest.
"We'll have a light practice out there and by then we'll be able to make our decision," Ryan said. "To say he'll definitely play out there and then he goes out there, this is a long trip, and he's not feeling well, then we're not going to do it. I've been impressed by the way he's looked the past couple of days."
