Offense: RB Matt Forté
While the Bears struggled to do much with their passing game, Matt Forté had a career day, accounting for 188 of the team's 247 total net yards, including 166 yards rushing. He scored on runs of 18 and 68 yards in the first quarter, averaged 7.5 yards per carry and led Chicago with 22 receiving yards on two receptions. Forté had more yards on Sunday than he did in the previous three games combined.
Defense: DEs Israel Idonije and Julius Peppers
With an assist from Julius Peppers and the double teams he attracted, Israel Idonije had a career-high three sacks. They share the award this week. Idonije forced a fumble on one of the sacks, but it was recovered by the Panthers. He made four other tackles, including one for loss. Peppers made one of the most impressive plays of the game, deflecting a pass into the air and catching it while on his knees for a first-quarter interception.
Special teams: PK Robbie Gould
PK Robbie Gould scored the Bears' final nine points, connecting on all three of his field-goal attempts. He connected on kicks of 28, 53 and 43 yards. Gould did make a mistake with his last kickoff off the game, which went out of bounds, but the game was already out of reach and he also had two touchbacks on kickoffs.
